Rather expected game when 6th ranked Tuebingen II (8-6) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Saarlouis/Dillingen (10-4) 96-91 on Sunday. It was a great evening for American guard Ricky Easterling (189-83, college: Bridgewater) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Swedish forward Samme Unger (196-94) helped adding 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Saarlouis/Dillingen players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Latvian Aksels Skaistlauks (195-97) with 26 points and 4 assists and center Jan Georg (202-97) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Tuebingen II's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Saarlouis/Dillingen maintains fourth place in South-West with 10-4 record. Loser Tuebingen II keeps the sixth position with six games lost. Saarlouis/Dillingen will face BG Karlsruhe (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tuebingen II will play against Mainz (#12) and hope to win that game.
