Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Salerno (12-4) defeated on the road 13th ranked Battipaglia (3-12) 68-62 on Sunday. Salerno made 24-of-25 free shots (96.0 percent) during the game. Battipaglia was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for power forward Paolo Paci (204-90) who helped to win the game recording 18 points. Guard Onorio Petrazzuoli (193-88) contributed with 11 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four Salerno players scored in double figures. Guard Simon Anumba (191-96) replied with 20 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Vincenzo Di-Capua (186-87) added 15 points in the effort for Battipaglia. Salerno moved-up to third place in B, which they share with Crema. Battipaglia at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Salerno will face Venafro (#15) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Battipaglia will play against Scauri and hope to win that game.
