Very expected game when 14th ranked Barca II (6-11) was defeated on the road by third ranked CB Prat (13-4) 78-69 on Sunday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 20-10. But Barca II won third quarter 22-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was point guard Josep Perez (184-94) who scored 15 points and 4 assists. Forward Marc Blanch (195-82) chipped in 14 points and 4 steals (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Swingman Aleix Font (192-98) produced 17 points and Senegalese center Atoumane Diagne (215-98) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. CB Prat moved-up to second place, which they share with Manresa. Loser Barca II keeps the fourteenth position with 11 games lost. CB Prat will face Palma (#15) in S'Arenal in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Barca II will play on the road against Lleida Basquet and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
