Regular Season Round 14: MIA-RO Cantu - Betaland Cdo 96-73

No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked MIA-RO Cantu (7-7) smashed at home 11th ranked Betaland Cdo (5-9) 96-73 on Sunday. MIA-RO Cantu made 17-of-18 free shots (94.4 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Jeremy Chappell (191-87, college: Robert Morris) who scored 16 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import point guard Jaime Smith (190-89, college: Al.-Huntsville) chipped in 18 points and 5 assists. Coach Marco Sodini's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players saving starting five for next games. Naturalized Polish power forward Jakub Wojciechowski (213-90) produced 19 points and 9 rebounds and American point guard Eric Maynor (191-87, college: VCU) added 10 points and 10 assists respectively for the guests. Five MIA-RO Cantu and four Betaland Cdo players scored in double figures. MIA-RO Cantu moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Betaland Cdo lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with nine games lost. MIA-RO Cantu will face New Basket BR (#14) in Brindisi in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Betaland Cdo will play at home against Vanoli Cremona and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
