Regular Season Round 17: Heidelberg - Vechta 60-71

An interesting game for SC Rasta Vechta (15-1) which played road game in Heidelberg against 4th placed MLP Academics Heidelberg (10-7). Second ranked SC Rasta Vechta managed to get a 11-point victory 71-60. American guard Joshua Young (185-88, college: Drake) stepped up and scored 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import Seth Hinrichs (201-93, college: Lafayette, agency: Duran International) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Evan McGaughey (203-94, college: Quincy, agency: Slash Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and guard Niklas Wuerzner (196-94) scored 10 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for SC Rasta Vechta. They keep a position of league leader. MLP Academics Heidelberg at the other side dropped to the fifth place with seven games lost. SC Rasta Vechta will play against Gladiators (#8) in Trier in the next round and are hoping to win another game. MLP Academics Heidelberg will play on the road against Nuernberg and hopes to get back on the winning track.
