Regular Season Round 13: Macc.Rehovot - Maccabi H/H 84-78

National League top team - Maccabi Rehovot (11-2) added another victory to their record. This time they beat tenth ranked Hasharon (5-8) 84-78. It looked good early as Hasharon took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Maccabi Rehovot had a 23-15 second period charge getting the lead and Hasharon was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 78-84. They outrebounded Hasharon 49-34 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Maccabi Rehovot players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward AlLonzo Coleman (201-89, college: Presbyterian) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 24 rebounds. His fellow American import swingman Marcus Relphorde (198-88, college: Colorado, agency: Ron Sport) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. American forward Jordan Washington (203, college: Iona) answered with 21 points and 9 rebounds and Yotam Shiran (198-90) added 15 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Hasharon. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Maccabi Rehovot maintains first place with 11-2 record. Hasharon lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with eight games lost. Maccabi Rehovot's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Hapoel Migd.H. (#14) in Tarshicha which should be an easy win for them. Hasharon will play on the road against Maccabi K/M (#12) in Kiryat Motzkin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
