VTB-Youth top team - Khimki-2 (15-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Enisey-2 (2-16) 117-68. Khimki-2 dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Enisey-2's 42. Khimki-2 forced 24 Enisey-2 turnovers and had a 32-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 38 assists comparing to just 23 passes made by Enisey-2's players. Khimki-2 brought some defensive toughness making 10 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Igor Volkhin (200-97) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Ivan Evstigneev (193-99) contributed with 18 points and 6 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five Khimki-2 players scored in double figures. Forward Nikita Osit (200-98) answered with 25 points and 6 rebounds and guard Danil Dergachev (184-98) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Enisey-2. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Khimki-2 maintains first place with 15-3 record. Enisey-2 lost fifteenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Khimki-2's next round opponent will be Parma-2 (#5) in Perm.
