Very significant was Correcaminos' (#3, 7-5) victory against 4th ranked Toros (5-7) 83-75. Correcaminos looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was naturalized American point guard Trevor Gaskins (188-89, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Pro Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists. Nicaraguan center Bartel Lopez (212-89, agency: Paris Global Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 17 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized American Antonio Bumpus (192-89, college: Cumberlands) who recorded 29 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Joel Munoz (183-80) added 18 points, 6 rebounds and 14 assists respectively. Four Toros players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion (7-5) moved-up to second place, which they share with Panteras. Loser Toros keep the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with Universitarios. Correcaminos will meet league's leader Caballos in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Toros will play against the league's leader Caballos in Aguadulce and hope to secure a win.
