Regular Season Round 13: AE Larissas - Holargos 60-92

Very predictable result when third ranked Holargos (10-3) rolled over on the road 13th ranked AE Larissas (2-11) 92-60 on Saturday. The game without a history. Holargos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Holargos forced 19 AE Larissas turnovers and outrebounded them 34-23 including 23 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Quite impressive performance for American-Hungarian forward Rashad Bell (203-82, college: Boston U.) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Swingman Nikos Kokkalis (198-85) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Holargos players scored in double figures. Swingman Giannis Papachristos (190-80) answered with 11 points and 6 rebounds and forward Sotiris Gioulekas (203-79) added 11 points in the effort for AE Larissas. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Holargos moved-up to second place, which they share with Iraklis. AE Larissas lost their tenth game in a row. They dropped to the fifteenth position with 11 games lost. Holargos will face Arkadikos (#13) in Arkadia in the next round which should be another easy win for them. AE Larissas will play on the road against the league's second-placed Iraklis in Thessaloniki and hope to win that game.
