Rather expected game when 9th ranked Brest (4-18) lost at home to seventh ranked Prinemanye (6-16) 83-76 on Saturday. Brest trailed by 15 points after 3 quarters before a 27-19 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 76-83 at the end of the game. Prinemanye looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. The winners were led by Ukrainian guard Anatoli Konev (192-92) who scored that evening 31 points and 5 assists and forward Ruslan Kutskevich (202-95) supported him with 12 points, 15 rebounds and 9 assists. Even a double-double of 12 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists by Aliaksei Yanchuk did not help to save the game for Brest. Forward Konstantin Solyshko (196-96) added 13 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Brest's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Prinemanye maintains seventh position with 6-16 record, which they share with GOCOR-Sozh. Loser Brest keeps the ninth place with 18 games lost. Prinemanye will meet at home league's leader Tsmoki-Minsk in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Brest will play against GOCOR-Sozh (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
