A2 top team - Peristeri GS (13-0) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat sixth ranked Kastoria (8-5) in Athens 72-61. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Kastoria. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. American-Bulgarian point guard Keydren Clark (180-84, college: St.Peter's) nailed 17 points for the winning side and guard Michalis Polytarchou (190-83) accounted for 14 points and 5 rebounds. Peristeri GS's coach Nikos Karagiannis used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Danis Eleftheriadis (197-89) came up with 14 points and 8 rebounds and guard Nikos Kaklamanos (189-81) added 16 points respectively for Kastoria in the defeat. Peristeri GS have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. Newly promoted Peristeri GS maintains first place with 13-0 record. Kastoria at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. They share it with 3 other teams.
