Rather predictable result in Beer Sheva where fifth ranked Hapoel B/S (9-5) beat 7th ranked Hap.Haifa (7-7) 77-73. American Storm Warren (201-88, college: LSU, agency: Ron Sport) notched 24 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import guard Andell Cumberbatch (196-93, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Even a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds by Cuban center Ismael Romero (203-91, agency: Paris Global Sports) did not help to save the game for Hap.Haifa. American guard Kerry Carter (188-91, college: St.Mary's, CA) added 19 points and 7 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) for the guests. Four Hap.Haifa players scored in double figures. Hapoel B/S have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Elitzur K-A. Hap.Haifa at the other side keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. Hapoel B/S's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Maccabi K/G in Kiryat Gat and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hap.Haifa will play on the road against Hapoel Galilee (#5) in Kazrin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
