There was no surprise when 15th ranked Reggio Emilia (3-14) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Faenza (10-7) 76-65 on Sunday. Swingman Gioacchino Chiappelli (198-91, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and point guard Marco Perin (185-93) chipped in 19 points. Four Faenza players scored in double figures. Guard Matteo Motta (192-92, agency: SPORTlab Agency) responded with 13 points and 5 rebounds and guard Enrico Germani (198-92) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Faenza moved-up to fifth place in B, which they share with Vicenza and Forli Tigers. Reggio Emilia lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the fourteenth position with 14 games lost. Faenza will face Palermo GB (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Reggio Emilia will play against Tessilform Bernareggio and hope to win that game.
