Rather predictable result when fourteenth ranked RETAbet BB (6-10) rolled over 16th ranked Joventut (4-11) in Bilbao 99-74 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by RETAbet BB. Joventut was better in second period 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for Belgian-Congolese point guard Jonathan Tabu (189-85) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Argentinian guard Lucio Redivo (183-94) contributed with 17 points for the winners. American swingman Patrick Richard (196-90, college: McNeese St., agency: Inception Sports) replied with 18 points and Jamaican center Jerome Jordan (215-86, college: Tulsa) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Joventut. Five RETAbet BB and four Joventut players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. RETAbet BB maintains fourteenth position with 6-10 record. Joventut lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventeenth place with 11 games lost. RETAbet BB will face higher ranked Blusens Monbus (#12) in Santiago de Comp in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Joventut will play at home against UCAM Murcia (#9) and hope to win that game.
