Regular Season Round 14: Hatay - Adana ASKI 81-72

There was no surprise when 8th ranked Adana ASKI (2-11) was defeated on the road by third ranked Hatay (12-2) 81-72 on Sunday. Hatay dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Adana ASKI's 32. The best player for the winners was American center Courtney Paris (191-87, college: Oklahoma) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 rebounds. Belgian point guard Hind Ben-Abdelkader (172-95, college: California) chipped in 22 points. Four Hatay players scored in double figures. Hatay's coach Katerina Hatzidaki used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lithuanian guard Kamile Nacickaite (181-89, college: Drexel) produced 25 points and Russian forward Marina Bas (194-85) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Hatay maintains third position with 12-2 record behind leader Cukurova. Adana ASKI lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with 11 games lost. Hatay will face Botas (#4) in Adana in the next round. Adana ASKI will play at home against Ormanspor and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
