There was no surprise when 14th ranked Andorra II (2-11) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Palma II (9-4) 79-69 on Sunday. Andorra II was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 30-17 charge of Palma II, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 19 Andorra II turnovers. It was a great evening for guard Alberto Garcia (192-87) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points, 9 assists and 4 steals. Forward Llorenc Llompart (198-87) helped adding 14 points and 6 rebounds. Palma II's coach Pau Tomas used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side center Cinto Gabriel (199-87) responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and naturalized Andorra Hugo Schneider (201-98) scored 19 points. Four Palma II and five Andorra II players scored in double figures. Palma II moved-up to third place in Group C-B, which they share with Valls Nutrion and Igualada. Loser Andorra II keeps the fourteenth position with 11 games lost. Palma II will face JAC Sants (#12) in Barcelona in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Andorra II will play at home against Cornella and hope to win that game.
