Regular Season Round 19: Cerdanyola - Igualada 51-59

Very expected game in Cerdanyola del Valle where 12th ranked Cerdanyola (3-10) was defeated by fifth ranked Igualada (9-4) 59-51 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Cerdanyola won fourth quarter 15-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for center Eduard Tejero (195-92) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Center Micky Garcia (206-85, agency: Dynamics Global Management) helped adding 16 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side guard Genis Tena (186-89) responded with 12 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Zachary Lemusu (203-92, college: St.Gregory) scored 6 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Igualada moved-up to third place in Group C-B, which they share with Palma II and Valls Nutrion. Cerdanyola lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with ten games lost. Igualada will face Mataro Feimat (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Cerdanyola will play against Olivar (#7) in Zaragoza and hope to win that game.
