Regular Season Round 14: Hap.Haifa - Hapoel K/S 75-88

We should mention about the upset which took place in Haifa, where higher ranked Hap.Haifa (7-7) lost at home to eleventh ranked Hapoel Kfar Saba (5-9) 75-88. Hapoel Kfar Saba players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American guard Byron Wesley (196-92, college: Gonzaga, agency: Octagon Europe) notched a triple-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the effort and Effi Tiomkin (-0) supported him with 11 points and 7 rebounds. Hapoel Kfar Saba's coach Yossi Bonen allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 23 points and 4 assists by American guard Kerry Carter (188-91, college: St.Mary's, CA) did not help to save the game for Hap.Haifa. Cuban center Ismael Romero (203-91, agency: Paris Global Sports) added 16 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hapoel Kfar Saba moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Maccabi K/M and Maccabi H/H. Hap.Haifa at the other side keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. Hapoel Kfar Saba's next round opponent will be higher ranked Hap.R/G Givat. (#6) in Givataim and it may be quite challenging game.
