Very expected game when 13th ranked ALM Evreux (4-10) was smashed on the road by second ranked Lille Metropole (11-3) 96-74 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Lille Metropole led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Lille Metropole outrebounded ALM Evreux 40-24 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American players dominated the game. Point guard Maurice Acker (176-87, college: Marquette) notched 19 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and forward Rakeem Buckles (203-90, college: FIU) supported him with 18 points. Lille Metropole's coach Jean-Marc Dupraz felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 20 points, 10 assists and 4 steals by point guard Jerrold Brooks (183-91, college: S.Mississippi) did not help to save the game for ALM Evreux. Guard Caleb Walker (194-89, college: Nebraska) added 12 points and 9 rebounds for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lille Metropole maintains second position with 11-3 record having just two points less than leader Orleans, which they share with Roanne and Blois. Loser ALM Evreux dropped to the fourteenth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Poitiers. Lille Metropole will meet Denain Voltaire (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ALM Evreux will play against Nantes (#10) and hope to secure a win.
