Regular Season Round 14: Hapoel B/S - Hap.R/G Givat. 96-89

The most important game in the last round took place in Beer Sheva between third ranked Hap.R/G Givat. (8-6) and fifth ranked Hapoel B/S (9-5) on Tuesday night. Hap.R/G Givat. was defeated by Hapoel B/S in a tough game on the road 89-96. Hapoel B/S looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American Storm Warren (201-88, college: LSU, agency: Ron Sport) who scored 26 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). The former international forward Or Solomon (202-93) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Hapoel B/S's coach Yaniv Burger used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Rashad Madden (196-92, college: Arkansas) produced 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Ilya Ilyayev (196-93, college: St.Francis, IL) added 15 points respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hapoel B/S have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Elitzur K-A. Hap.R/G Givat. lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. Hapoel B/S is looking forward to face league's second-placed Maccabi K/G in Kiryat Gat in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hap.R/G Givat. will play on the road against Hapoel Kfar Saba (#10) and is hoping to win this game.
