Very significant was Taiyuan Textile's (#2, 4-1) victory against Taipower (0-5) 61-56. International forward Ying-Chieh Wu (179-92) notched 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and the former international center Pei-Chen Tsai (186-84) supported her with 10 points and 14 rebounds. Even 14 points and 8 rebounds by forward Yi-Chun Lin (165-91) did not help to save the game for Taipower. The former international guard Shih-Chieh Chang (172-86) added 14 points and 6 rebounds for Taiyuan Textile. Taipower's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
