Regular Season Round 15: Evreux - Nantes 94-57

An interesting game took place in Evreux where higher ranked Nantes (6-9) was upset on the court of fourteenth ranked ALM Evreux (5-10) 94-57 on Friday. The game without a history. ALM Evreux led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Nantes' 26 and made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. ALM Evreux looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Caleb Walker (194-89, college: Nebraska) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. His fellow American import point guard Jerrold Brooks (183-91, college: S.Mississippi) helped adding 28 points and 5 assists. Four ALM Evreux players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American-German center Waverly Austin (211-91, college: Oregon, agency: Octagon Europe) with 13 points and 8 rebounds and American Christopher McKnight (201-87, college: Akron, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 5 points and 7 rebounds. Nantes' coach Neno Asceric gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. ALM Evreux moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Aix-Maurienne and Vichy Clermont. Loser Nantes dropped to the eleventh position with nine games lost. ALM Evreux will face bottom-ranked Quimper UJAP (#18) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game.
