Regular Season Round 14: Iraklis - AE Larissas 92-81

Very expected game in Thessaloniki where 15th ranked AE Larissas (2-12) was defeated by second ranked Iraklis (11-3) 92-81. The game was mostly controlled by Iraklis. AE Larissas was better in fourth quarter 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded AE Larissas 37-26 including 25 on the defensive glass. Iraklis shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by AE Larissas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Iraklis maintains second position with 11-3 record having just three points less than leader Peristeri GS, which they share with Holargos. AE Larissas lost eleventh consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with 12 games lost. Iraklis' next round opponent will be Arkadikos (#13) in Arkadia which should be an easy win for them. AE Larissas will play at home against Marousi and hope to win that game.
