Regular Season Round 18: Granada - Lucentum 77-83

An interesting game for HLA Alicante (13-5) which played road game in Granada against second-best CB Granada (13-5). Third ranked HLA Alicante managed to get a 6-point victory 83-77. CB Granada trailed by 18 points after 3 quarters before a 24-12 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 77-83 at the end of the game. It was a good game for point guard Pedro Rivero (186-79) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 7 assists. Point guard Alvaro Lobo (192-92, agency: Duran International) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Lobo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four HLA Alicante players scored in double figures. Power forward Devin Wright (202-86) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds and forward Eloy Almazan (199-84) added 8 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for CB Granada. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. HLA Alicante have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Granada. HLA Alicante is looking forward to face Cambados (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CB Granada will play against Moron (#8) in MorĂ³n de la Frontera and is hoping to win this game.
