We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when thirteenth ranked Aiolos Trikallon (3-10) beat 12th ranked Koroivos (4-9) in Trikala 71-59 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Aiolos Trikallon. Koroivos was better in third quarter 23-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a very good performance for Serbian power forward Marko Tejic (209-95, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American-Montenegrin forward Halil Kanacevic (203-91, college: St.Joseph's) contributed with 4 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Aiolos Trikallon players scored in double figures. American guard Marcus Posley (185-94, college: St.Bonaventure) answered with 15 points and the other American import forward Shaquille Hines (203-93, college: UTRGV) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Koroivos. Koroivos' coach Nikos Kalabakos rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Aiolos Trikallon maintains thirteenth place with 3-10 record. Koroivos lost their third game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with nine games lost. Aiolos Trikallon will face higher ranked AEK (#7) in Athens in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
