There was a surprise result in Zaragoza where thirteenth ranked Cerdanyola (4-10) edged higher ranked Olivar (6-8) 78-75 on Saturday. Cerdanyola dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Olivar's 38. Olivar was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was David Mbodji who scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Center Oriol Munoz (200-95) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. Four Cerdanyola players scored in double figures. Guard Carlos Alocen (189-0) produced 14 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and forward Jaime Fernandez (203-0) added 20 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Cerdanyola moved-up to tenth place in Group C-B, which they share with Castellbisbal and Salt. Olivar lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost. Cerdanyola will face higher ranked Mollet (#6) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
