Singapore Slingers managed to secure a 9-point victory 94-85. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Westports MD. Singapore Slingers dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Westports MD's 34. American players dominated the game. Guard Xavier Alexander (198-88, college: S.Nazarene) fired 33 points (!!!) and 5 assists for the winners. Power forward Christien Charles (216-81, college: Villanova) chipped in a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Marcus Marshall (190-94, college: Nevada) produced 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Joshua Munzon (191-95, college: CS Los Angeles) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Westports MD players scored in double figures. Singapore Slingers moved-up to third place. Westports MD at the other side keeps the seventh position with five games lost. Singapore Slingers will have a break next round. Westports MD will play on the road against Chongson (#5) in Nanhai and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
