An interesting game took place in Venezia where higher ranked Umana Venezia (11-5) was upset on its own court by fourteenth ranked Openjobmetis VA (5-11) 75-63. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Umana Venezia. Openjobmetis VA dominated down low during the game scoring 38 of its points in the paint compared to Umana Venezia's 18. It was a very good performance for American power forward Tyler Cain (203-88, college: S.Dakota) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Guard Matteo Tambone (192-94) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Openjobmetis VA players scored in double figures. Umana Venezia's coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Openjobmetis VA moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Defending champion Umana Venezia keeps the fourth position with five games lost.
