Regular Season Round 18: Bisceglie - Giulianova 90-66

Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Giulianova (8-10) was outplayed on the road by fourth ranked Bisceglie (11-7) 90-66 on Sunday. Giulianova was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was point guard Simone Bonfiglio (181-88, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 24 points and 4 assists. Swingman Luca Castelluccia (202-86) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists. Five Bisceglie players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Nicola Bastone (196-92) who recorded 19 points and 5 rebounds and center Daniele Tomasello (203-93) added 15 points and 9 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bisceglie moved-up to third place in B, which they share with Vicenza and Faenza. Loser Giulianova dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. Bisceglie will face Nardo (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Giulianova will play against Fabriano and hope to win that game.
