Not a big story in a game in Mogi das Cruzes where 13th ranked Botafogo F.R. (2-13) was defeated by fourth ranked Mogi (12-3) 84-70 on Monday. Mogi looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for point guard Vithor Lersch (184-95) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 assists. Naturalized American Shamell Stallworth (195-80, college: USF, agency: Interperformances) helped adding 19 points and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was power forward Douglas Correa (202-91) with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds and center Atila Santos (208-83, college: Minn.St.-Mankato) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Botafogo F.R.'s coach Marcio Andrade rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Mogi moved-up to third place. Botafogo F.R. lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with 13 games lost. Mogi will again meet at home Botafogo F.R. (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Botafogo F.R. will have a break next round.
