Rather expected game when 7th ranked Hap.Haifa (7-8) lost to fifth ranked Hapoel Galilee (9-5) in Kazrin 71-88 on Tuesday. Hapoel Galilee dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Hap.Haifa's 26 and made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Hapoel Galilee looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for American forward Brandon Edwards (198-91, college: Texas Arlington) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Lior Surf (-88) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Four Hapoel Galilee players scored in double figures. Hapoel Galilee's coach Avishay Gordon allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Kerry Carter (188-91, college: St.Mary's, CA) answered with 20 points and 8 rebounds and Cuban center Ismael Romero (203-91, agency: Paris Global Sports) added 15 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Hap.Haifa.
