There was a surprise result when seventeenth ranked Boulazac Basket (6-12) beat on the road higher ranked Chalons-Reims (7-11) 89-82 on Friday. Chalons-Reims trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 25-19 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 82-89 at the end of the game. Boulazac Basket made 23-of-26 free shots (88.5 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Karvel Anderson (188-91, college: Robert Morris) who scored 28 points and 6 rebounds. The other American import guard Trenton Meacham (190-85, college: Illinois) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists.
