Regular Season Round 17: Dacin Tigers - Pauian 80-70

SBL round 17 caused change at the leadership position. Ninth defeat of league's leader Pauian (11-9) against third ranked Dacin Tigers (11-8) 80-70 was the most important game of the last round. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Indian-Canadian center Sim Bhullar (226-92, college: N.Mexico St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). The former international forward Yi-Hui Lin (193-86) contributed with 17 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Four Dacin Tigers players scored in double figures. The former international guard Chun-Yen Peng (184-89) answered with 9 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals and the former international forward Douglas Creighton (196-85, college: Madonna) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Pauian. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dacin Tigers have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Yulon Luxgen and Fubon Braves. Pauian at the other side dropped to the fourth place with nine games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Dacin Tigers. Pauian will play next round against strong Fubon Braves trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Dacin Tigers will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked KKL at home.
