Regular Season Round 21: Begastri - UAF Lucentum 61-92

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 12th ranked Begastri's (1-13) home loss to eleventh ranked UAF Lucentum (3-11) in Cehegin 61-92 on Sunday. The game without a history. UAF Lucentum led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. UAF Lucentum forced 24 Begastri turnovers. It was a good game for Aldo Serneguet (-96) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Pablo Matarredona contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four UAF Lucentum players scored in double figures. Alvaro Bernal answered with 14 points and 5 rebounds and forward Juan-Antonio Padilla (193-84) added 13 points in the effort for Begastri. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted UAF Lucentum maintains eleventh place in Group E with 3-11 record. Begastri at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the twelfth position with 13 games lost. UAF Lucentum will face higher ranked Benidorm (#6) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Begastri will play against Paterna (#5) and hope to win that game.
