Regular Season Round 19: Valmontone - Palestrina 107-106

Serie B round 19 caused change at the leadership position. Third defeat of league's leader Palestrina (15-3) against fourth ranked Valmontone (15-4) 107-106 was the most important game of the last round. It was a key game for the second position in B. Valmontone looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 28 personal fouls committed by Palestrina helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Luca Bisconti (208-82, agency: SPORTlab Agency) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard Simone Rischia (185-90) contributed with 29 points and 5 assists for the winners. Bosnian-Serbian power forward Njegos Visnjic (200-79) answered with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and point guard Gianmarco Rossi (182-90) added 28 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) in the effort for Palestrina. Four Valmontone and five Palestrina players scored in double figures. Valmontone moved-up to second place in B, which they share with Piacenza. Palestrina at the other side dropped to the second position with three games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by San Severo. Palestrina will play next round against strong Cassino trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Valmontone will try to continue on its current victory against fifteenth ranked Battipaglia on the road.
