Regular Season Round 30: CD Valdivia - Puerto Montt 107-94

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Puerto Montt (10-21) was defeated on the road by third ranked Deportivo Valdivia (18-12) 107-94 on Sunday. Deportivo Valdivia dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Puerto Montt's 54. Puerto Montt was plagued by 36 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American power forward Michael Glover (203-87, college: Iona) who scored 27 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international guard Erik Carrasco (181-83) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Devon Scott (206-94, college: Philander Smith) who recorded a double-double by scoring 30 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Sebastian Figueroa (175-88) added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Five Deportivo Valdivia and four Puerto Montt players scored in double figures. Deportivo Valdivia maintains third position with 18-12 record having seven points less than leader Los Leones. Loser Puerto Montt keeps the sixth place with 21 games lost.
