Regular Season Round 21: Betanzos - Leon 61-79

Very expected game when 11th ranked Betanzos (8-10) lost at home to fifth ranked Leon (10-8) 79-61 on Sunday. The game without a history. Leon led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a good game for American forward Colby Taylor (198-94, college: Central, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who led his team to a victory with 21 points. Forward Pablo Ruiz (-97) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Four Leon players scored in double figures. Senegalese power forward Abdou Thiam (204-98) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds and center Marcos Rozas (202-83) added 17 points in the effort for Betanzos. Leon moved-up to fourth place in Group A-B, which they share with Ponferrada CDP. Betanzos lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with ten games lost. Leon will face league's leader Marin at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Betanzos will play against Estudiantes L. (#8) in Lugo and hope to win that game.
