There was no surprise in Monterrey where 8th ranked Correcaminos (13-17) were defeated by fourth ranked Fuerza Regia (20-11) 83-76. Fuerza Regia players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Correcaminos helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Andy Panko (203-77, college: Lebanon Valley, agency: BeoBasket) notched 27 points to lead the effort and international forward Juan Toscano (198-93, college: Marquette, agency: BeoBasket) supported him with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Even 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists by American guard Kennedy Jones (188-89, college: Arlington Baptist) did not help to save the game for Correcaminos. The former international guard Cezar Guerrero (185-92, college: Fresno St.) added 23 points and 5 assists for lost side. Correcaminos' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Fuerza Regia moved-up to third place, which they share with Capitanes. Correcaminos at the other side keep the eighth position with 17 games lost. Fuerza Regia's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Libertadores (#11) in Queretaro and are hoping to win another game. Correcaminos will play at home against Abejas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
