Regular Season Round 22: Nishinomiya S. - Ryukyu GK 69-85

Everything went according to plan in Hyogo where first ranked Ryukyu GK (25-7) won against 5th ranked Nishinomiya S. (7-25) 85-69 on Monday. Ryukyu GK looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Nishinomiya S.'s players. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Hassan Martin (201-95, college: Rhode Island) fired 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Center Hilton Armstrong (210-84, college: Connecticut) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Ryukyu GK players scored in double figures. Guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul) produced 18 points and 5 assists and forward Herbert Hill (208-84, college: Providence) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ryukyu GK have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 25-7 record. Newly promoted Nishinomiya S. keeps the fifth place with 25 games lost. Ryukyu GK will face league's second-placed Kyoto Hannar. at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nishinomiya S. will play against Osaka Evessa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
