Regular Season Round 31: Neptunas-Akv. - Jonava 77-81

The game between third ranked Neptunas-Akv. (20-11) and sixth ranked Jonava (17-14) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Neptunas-Akv. was defeated by Jonava in a tough game in Klaipeda 77-81. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Neptunas-Akv.. Jonava looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. Guard Dovydas Redikas (192-92) fired 17 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists and 7 steals for the winners. American guard Bryton Hobbs (183-91, college: Northeastern St.) chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international forward Valdas Vasylius (203-83, college: ODU) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and forward Arunas Mikalauskas (202-97, agency: BeoBasket) added 11 points and 14 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Jonava and five Neptunas-Akv. players scored in double figures. Jonava moved-up to fifth place. Neptunas-Akv. at the other side dropped to the fourth position with 11 games lost. Jonava are looking forward to face Zalgiris II (#6) in Kaunas in the next round. Neptunas-Akv. will play on the road against Ezerunas in Moletai and is hoping to win this game.
