No shocking result in a game in Bursa where second ranked Tofas (14-3) smashed 14th ranked Usak Sportlif (4-13) 97-72 on Saturday. Tofas made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. Tofas looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American power forward Raymar Morgan (203-88, college: Michigan St.) who scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Dominican-American swingman Sammy Mejia (198-83, college: De Paul) chipped in 10 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Tofas players scored in double figures. Tofas' coach Orhun Ene felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American center Jackie Carmichael (206-90, college: Illinois St.) produced 12 points and the other American import forward Jordan Hamilton (201-90, college: Texas) added 6 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. The victory was the third consecutive win for Tofas. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Fenerbahce. Loser Usak Sportlif dropped to the fifteenth place with 13 games lost. Tofas will face Besiktas (#3) in Istanbul in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Usak Sportlif will play on the road against Darussafaka (#6) in Istanbul and hope to win that game.
