Regular Season Round 18: Orvieto - Bologna 53-73

The game in Orvieto supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Bologna (14-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Orvieto (8-9). Bologna did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 73-53 on Saturday. Bologna dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Orvieto's 22. Point guard Elisabetta Tassinari (175-94) scored 22 points to lead the charge for the winners and the former international point guard Raelin DAlie (168-87, college: Wisconsin, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 10 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was point guard Rachele Porcu (165-97, agency: SPORTlab Agency) with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists and Slovenian guard Eva Rupnik (176-92, agency: ProDep Management) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Bologna maintains fourth position in A2 with 14-3 record. Loser Orvieto dropped to the ninth place with nine games lost. Bologna will meet Campobasso (#8) on the road in the next round. Orvieto will play against Alghero and hope to secure a win.
