Rather predictable result when twelfth ranked Plasencia (8-11) defeated at home bottom-ranked Zamorano (3-16) 93-81 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Plasencia. Zamorano was better in fourth quarter 24-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for guard Fernando Sierra (194-95, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 5 assists. Ivorian center Aboubacar Hima (207-94) helped adding 19 points and 6 rebounds. Four Plasencia players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Chris Hansen (193-93, college: Idaho St.) responded with 22 points and 4 assists and American-Italian point guard Anthony Libroia (180-94, college: Adelphi, agency: Duran International) scored 20 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Plasencia moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Agustinos-Leclerc. Loser Zamorano stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Plasencia will face higher ranked CB Granada (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Zamorano will play against L'Hospitalet (#4) having rather not much hope for a victory.
