Regular Season Round 20: Super Flavor M. - Oleggio 85-82

Eighth-ranked Oleggio (9-11) gave a tough game to third ranked Super Flavor M. (16-4) in Milano. Super Flavor M. managed to secure only three-point victory 85-82. However their fans expected much easier game. Super Flavor M. forced 19 Oleggio turnovers. Strangely Oleggio outrebounded Super Flavor M. 47-31 including 38 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists. The winners were led by the former international guard Riccardo Santolamazza (195-83) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 assists and the former international power forward Andrea Paleari (202-81) supported him with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Five Super Flavor M. players scored in double figures. Even 27 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists by forward Edoardo Gallazzi (200-86) did not help to save the game for Oleggio. Forward Andrea Marusic (200-89) added 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the guests. Super Flavor M. moved-up to second place in B. Oleggio at the other side dropped to the ninth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Rimini and Padova. Super Flavor M. will play against Montecatiniterme (#4) on the road in the next round. Oleggio will play against LTC Sangiorg. (#9) in San Giorgio and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
