Another exciting game was between eighth ranked Maccabi Raanana and 4th placed Hapoel B/S where host Maccabi Raanana (9-8) rolled over Hapoel B/S (11-6) with 19-point difference 92-73. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Hapoel B/S. They outrebounded Hapoel B/S 41-27 including 31 on the defensive glass. Point guard Guy Lavie (190-92, agency: Avi Zilberman) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American forward Samme Givens (198-89, college: Drexel) contributed with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Five Maccabi Raanana players scored in double figures. American Storm Warren (201-88, college: LSU, agency: Ron Sport) answered with 20 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Adi Cohen (178-93) added 11 points and 7 assists in the effort for Hapoel B/S. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Maccabi Raanana have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Hap.R/G Givat. Hapoel B/S at the other side dropped to the third position with six games lost. They share it with Maccabi K/G. Maccabi Raanana will play against league's leader Maccabi Rehovot on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hapoel B/S will play against Hapoel Galilee and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
