Regular Season Round 21: Crema - Palermo GB 61-60

Very expected game when 14th ranked Palermo GB (5-16) was edged on the road by third ranked Crema (16-5) 61-60 on Wednesday. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Crema looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Giovanni Poggi (201-97) who scored 12 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Michele Peroni (190-94) chipped in 10 points and 7 assists. Four Crema players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Alessandro Cecchetti (200-91) who recorded 12 points and 6 rebounds and guard Andrea Lombardo (197-90) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Crema have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place in B, which they share with Piacenza. Newly promoted Palermo GB keeps the fourteenth position with 16 games lost. Crema will face league's leader Cento on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Palermo GB will play against the league's second-placed Piacenza (#2) and hope to win that game.
