Rather predictable result when second ranked Firenze All Foods (17-4) beat at home 6th ranked Valsesia (12-9) 78-69 on Wednesday. They outrebounded Valsesia 37-24 including 28 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was guard Simone Berti (196-85) who scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Naturalized Spanish swingman Bruno Ondo-Mengue (193-92) chipped in 18 points. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Mattia Magrini (190-93) who recorded 12 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and Guglielmo Sodero (191-93) added 24 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Firenze All Foods maintains second place in B with 17-4 record having just two points less than leader San Severo. Loser Valsesia keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. Firenze All Foods will face Piombino (#5) on the road in the next round. Valsesia will play against Varese Robur and hope to win that game.
