Everything went according to plan when first ranked Basket Barcellona (18-3) won against at home 4th placed Cassino (15-6) 76-68 on Thursday. The best player for the winners was guard Michael Teghini (192-92) who scored 21 points. Guard Daniele Grilli (190-87) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international power forward Simone Bagnoli (205-81, agency: Interperformances) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and naturalized Argentinian swingman Manuel Carrizo (196-80, agency: Players Group) added 14 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Basket Barcellona maintains first place in B with 18-3 record. Loser Cassino dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Basket Barcellona will face Battipaglia (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Cassino will play against Sestu (#13) and hope to win that game.
