Regular Season Round 19: Killester - UCD Marian 79-73

There was a change at the Super League leadership position after last games. Round 19 most important game was a defeat of league's leader UCD Marian (13-4). They were defeated by fourth ranked Killester (12-5) 79-73 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of UCD Marian. Killester had a 32-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American forward Patrick Sullivan (201, college: Hamilton) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import guard Royce Williams (196, college: Ft.Hays State) helped adding 25 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side the former international swingman Dan James (189-90) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Mike Garrow (193-91, college: E.Connecticut) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Killester moved-up to third place, which they share with Templeogue and Swords Thunder. UCD Marian at the other side dropped to the second position with four games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Tralee. UCD Marian will play next round against league's leader Tralee trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Killester will try to continue on its current victory against eleventh ranked Maree in Galway.
