There was no surprise in Malaga where 10th ranked Andujar (1-15) was defeated by eighth ranked Novaschool (8-9) 76-72 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 20-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American forward Alex Jackson (200-84, college: Mo.-St.Louis) who scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. Center Anastasio Vazquez (204-92) chipped in 9 points and 18 rebounds. Jackson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Novaschool's coach Javier Florido used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Forward Javier Anton (198) produced 25 points and 9 rebounds and forward David Suka-Umu (197-77) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Novaschool maintains eighth place in Group D-A with 8-9 record. Andujar lost their twelfth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. Novaschool will face higher ranked Almeria (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Andujar will play against Coin (#5) and hope to win that game.
